I'm not sure how far your interest extends. But one starting point
would be to consider that the Hebrew prophets weren't primarily
prediction-makers. They were those who appealed to, a sense of
the sacred, and of ethics and justice. Their predictions, where
made, were, of course, sometimes wrong. That's the human side.
If I may be permitted an analogy: a critique of Marx might center
on his predictions; but that would be to miss a great deal of
the richness of his thought.
