There is a privately distributed network, called K12Net, that has a
conference called "K12_Francais" in which all correspondence is designed
to be in French. The K12Net network is designed specifically for school
children. However, traffic volume in that conference (and indeed, in
most of the K12Net conferences) has been low lately. Still, if you
started posting messages in that conference, you might get something
going. I can refer you to someone who could help you get access to
K12Net. Reply here if you are interested, or send me netmail at 1:218/804
or e-mail at cking@cyberg8t.com.
Also, there is a spinoff newsgroup on Usenet that is a result of the
K12Net network. You should look under the k12.* hierarchy of newsgroups.
There is probably one called something like k12.lang.francais. This
newsgroup used to be gated to the K12Net network, but that gateway is no
longer in existence. I cannot vouch for the quality of the newsgroup on
Usenet, since it is not moderated. Of course, you could always download
and preview any posts before you let your children read them.
Hope this helps, and feel free to ask for help,
