TM>Hi Errol, TM>Sorry about the delay in returning mail, but Talisman is not receiving TM>64Talk as yet (It's still going through some problems with the new TM>version of Xenolink) so I've had to call GeOZ to read your mail. Ah cool, I've sent some netmail, hopefully you'll get that sometime. TM>Won't this cause problems if he tries to scroll it (I'm assuming it's a TM>Yscroll). Also what if he wants to have text on the first line (8 TM>rasters) and a Logo right underneath it? I cant remember if its a yscroll or not, he STILL hasnt sent me a demo version! I'd say the better bet is a page flipper. As for the logo's, he doesnt change banks or into bitmap mode, its all in the one bank in text mode. Logos must be 3 colour fonts (centauri). Obviosly he changes from single/multicolour if necesary. I think the only registers he changes are $d016, $d018 & $d021.. TM>Shouldn't that be $d418? :) Yeah, I'm hopeless with register #'s (: TM>Is there any way to use the filter output as a sample player? (Related TM>to the Pulse wave player) Possible 8-bit samples, though my logic may TM>be wrong. I don't think so, I thought the filter register only had 4 bit resolution anyway? (damn, havent got my reference guide here (: ). You can use the pulse wave by changing the pulse width, which has 12 bit resolution, the wider the p.w. the 'louder' the pulse wave will be. I've tried this & it seemed worse than $d418 with 4 bit samples. TM>Any REAL player (ie:one that has decent sounds) updates the waveform TM>output every raster call... most also change the transpose value as TM>well. Ah, I knew they changed the waveform, but didnt realise they changed the transposition as well. TM>Every raster call the new waveform and transpose value is used with the TM>current pitch of the sound... This particular sound will start with a TM>"CHK" sound (equivelent to a cymbal being hit, sortof) and will then TM>do a arpeggio between the base note, the base note + 3, and the BN +7. TM> This gives the effect (sortof) like playing a minor chord. Ah got it. I figured they'd fiddle with the frequency, but not like 3 octaves! Will have to experiment with this. Thank god for assemblers (: TM>Tarragon / Menace. I like seeing that group name on something else than witty/strobe (: cya, Strobe/Menace --- Ezycom V1.10b1 00f90038* Origin: WOW BBS - Commodore Suport, Sydney's West (3:713/888) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/54 623/630 640/316 711/807 808 809 929 934 712/623 713/317 SEEN-BY: 713/700 805 888 714/906 @PATH: 713/888 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
