The version I think you're thinking of was released as a CD single in
the UK by Virgin in 1988, Catalogue Number VSCD 102, Track Listing : In
The Air Tonight (Extended), In The Air Tonight (88 Mix), I Missed Again.
The demo of the song (a lot more `spacey`) was also released on Virgin
in 1981, Catalogue Number VS 423, Track Listing : If Leaving Me Is Easy
b/w In The Air Tonight (demo), I Missed Again (demo), If Leaving Me Is
Easy (demo).
There was also a live version released on the _Serious Hits .... Live_
album which has a bigger intro section than the _Face Value_ version.
