I've heard of the 1' per 1' of the 283 before. A friend of mine has (had?)
a 1962 Chevy Impala 2 door with the 283 in it (he says it was the power
package version) so it probably was 1' per 1' version of the 283. It was
nice car, chrome everywhere.
