Yeah, I should have expected that. People found too many ways to
get around the accursed clumsiness of Win95 and 98. And M$ didn't
like that.

Perhaps you need a completely separate computer running DOS only,
with its own modem and connection to the line -- a changeover
switch maybe, if it's a phone line connection. I don't know much
about cable connections.
