subject: 199?

Hi, Rod.

RS> RJ> Does any-one know if the TeleScum dial-back number is 199?

RS> Yes.

RS> RJ> I've tried this a few times and nothing happens.

RS> Its actually a test machine which tests the line. It may have died or
RS> its being used by someone else. There is normally only one per exchange.

RS> RJ> Also there used to be a 1912(?) number that used to announce the
RS> RJ> number you were dialling from. Do these facilities still exist?

RS> 131920 or 19123

I didn't know about the first one. I just tried both from the land line
and the mobile. 19123 gives the number on both - same voice. The other
one worked from the mobile, on the land line it just kept ringing. As
it's half past five in the morning I hung up after a few rings - didn't
want an irate real person on the line. :-)

Regards, fIM.
