The extra time only amountted to an extra 2 to 3 minutes.
A normal call is usually less than a minute, now that I am getting the
AVTECH echo locally.

I wonder what prompted THAT thought. :-)

Do you realise that the above may well cause a sysop revolt due to the
increase in size and cost of transferring Atech to our beautiful island?

Unfortunately I am unable to abide by your penalty as I don't see any
messages from those people. I installed a straight copy of Peters point
setup, and he had included a filter that moved all messages with their
names attached, to a file area called Junk. After reading some of the
messages, I decided that leaving them there was a waste of good diskdrive
space and consequently altered the "move" command to
"delete".

For some reason, I seem to have completely forgotten how I altered it. :-)

 > And not with one liners either.

From what I saw in the Junk folder, any reply made to them that was longer
than one line, simply generated a tenfold increase in the size of the
message that they replied with. ;-)

The reason I stopped picking up AVTECH from Paul was the amount of rubbish
that I was paying to bring to Hobart. Messages from the loonies like Paul
and Bob are at least interesting and quite often humourous, once one does a
mental twist to grasp hold of the different viewpoint.

In view of the cost in time and money to read_and_reply as you suggested, I
feel an equivalent donation to a suitable charity would be a more sensible
idea.
Some _really_ worth while charity like the Chistian Paulings retirement
fund. How does that sound ? :-)

 > ... You're twisted and sick, I like that in a person.

Why thank you for the compliment !!
I didn't realise that reading Avtech had caused me to deteriorated to that
level so quickly.:-)
