Good observation. I too thought that the amount of onion was not scaled
correctly. 1/2 cup to serve 5-8, yet only 2 cups to serve 50. The math doesn't
add up.
I just post then as I get them - often with spelling mistakes and all.

I invite you to leave a comment at the website. The originators should be made
aware of these "errors" incase there is a published errata in a subsequent
article that they might have missed.
