Hello David -

CA>>>> I mentioned it to her because she has a little dog,
CA>>>> Maltese, that I was fond of when she lived here and
CA>>>> didn't want him trying to eat any of the tadpoles or one
CA>>>> of the toads. She mentioned lots of tadpoles in their
CA>>>> pool this summer.

DD>>> Erect a small wall (1 foot or so) around the pool. Cane
DD>>> toads cannot jump any hight and will no longer breed in
DD>>> the pool.

CA>> Daughter thinks it's tree frogs laying the eggs.

DD> I doubt that they'll bother the dog then.

True, if she is correct. She is new to Florida (raised here in
Michigan) and I wasn't sure she even knew about the toads.

DD>>> Up the chlorine content of the pool too, that will fix
DD>>> the toadpoles.

CA>> Nope, she tried that and says they seem to like the
CA>> 'clean' water even better.

DD> More chlorine, more chlorine....

Not sure who would suffer the most, her, the grandkids, or the
tadpoles.
