Go to where? Hell?  Oh........you meant TOO.

I thought the whole point of the rebooted timeline was so that they 
wouldn't have to or be expected to redo the old stories.  That was the 
only reason for doing such a stupid thing in the first place.  They 
could just as easily have gone back to show how the crew got together 
without the stupid time-travel nonsense.

Not if it makes money.  Which it will.  Too many moviegoers prefer 
mindless action over intelligent writing.
