| subject: | A NEW STRATEGY FOR VISUALAGE AND VI |
Hallo Mike, Mike Bilow schreef dit aan All: MB> A NEW STRATEGY FOR VISUALAGE AND VISUALGEN MB> IBM is integrating and adding to its Visual tools, but a lack of MB> focus could still leave them in application development's second MB> division I spoke with a IBM'er about Visual Age C++. He told me that the Windows version will have more features than the OS/2 version. Ok, but when can I see a new OS/2 version? He guessed it would take 6 months! He also told me something about the Visual Builder. We know it's written in Smalltalk, but the Visual Builder supplied with VA Smalltalk is much faster. Why? Well, it's written in the new 3.0(?) version. So where is the fast C++ version?!! It should be as simple as a recompilation ( I'm very naive ). The Smalltalk version has a Test option, the C++ version doesn't. Adding the Test option would save me a lot of time. Toedeloe, Jorgen de Gier --- GEcho 1.00* Origin: Hoi!
