Well.. when asked both seem to refer to a difference in the softwares used
by people here and there, and that points are a big thing.  Other than
that, no bites on any "political" issues.

It was mentioned that due to the slow "coming of age" of the
internet over there that FidoNet had a chance to develop and mature in that
part of the world.

Another comment was that due to the Russian echoes being available in
usenet under fido7.* that new "traditional" fidonet node and
point growth is stalled and the region is shrinking because of it.

As far as a unique zone, or Z2 "issues", no bites.
