Paul, at 02:24 on May 10 1996, you wrote to All... PE> I was hoping that by now I could buy a copy of OS/2 3.0 with PE> the fixpack already installed, so that I had a decent CDROM PE> version of it. But IBM says they don't have such a thing. PE> Is that true? Basically, yes. I think that Warp Connect (on special for $199 at Jewel) may actually have a slightly later kernel syslevel (can anybody verify this?), but if you want the VERY latest Warp 3.0, you have to apply Fixpack #17. Having said that, I'm still running the original Warp 3.0 Blue, and have found absolutely NO bugs with it which necessitate applying ANY fixpacks, and this has been with 2 different motherboards and 3 different CPUs as well, the latest being an Am5x86/P75 running at 160MHz. No problems at all. Regards, Bill --- Msgedsq/2 3.20* Origin: Logan City, SEQ +61 7 3200 8606 MO (3:640/305.9) SEEN-BY: 640/305 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
