Leonard Nimoy was approached during a speaking engagement in Hollywood, 
following the live broadcast of FIRST MEN IN THE MOON with Ethan Phillips, 
John DeLancie and William Shatner...specifically, he was asked about his 
possible appearance as Spock in the next Trek film.
His reply was that he _had_ been approached, since the storyline involved the 
RE-UNITING OF THE VULCANS AND ROMULANS.
He rejected the offer, and will not be appearing...yet.
ST:RENEGADE and ST:ARMAGEDDON scenarios would seem to be invalid, if this is 
true, though it is possible that the ST:RENEGADE plotline could be twisted to 
meet this.
No "garlic muffin" storyline, either...yet.
