It is sort of interesting that Bob seems to feel that people who IGNORE
something therefore ACCEPT it.  It is possibly one of those little lies
that he had to tell himself as he was growing up -- that when people ignore
him they are really accepting him.

And it is kind of amusing that he would cite that list of people as his
authorities on the subject, in an effort to bolster his own credibility. 
It is even flattering, in the same way that his imitation of words and
phrases is flattering.  But his flattery is not worth having.
