How many brands other than USR support this?

Bloody pointless when you have a modem capable of up to 28.8Kbps using an
international standard. Oh, I know - if the remote modem can only support
HST and nothing more, *then* it's useful .. I must admit, I haven't come
across too many 16.8Kbps HST-only modems that I wanted to call (everything
supported at least 19.2Kbps V.FC).

M34F, too.

Bill, you're worse than most rabid zealots anywhere; the only modem to
which my M34F has ever had trouble connecting has been Paul's Spirit - and
even then, it's not a common occurrance. I have no problems connecting to
USR modems (ask Poe Lim).
