 Nope. Yep. And a lot will vote against him because of his color.

 The Gallup pole showed about 5% of voters will not vote for a
 black candidate. If we assume those are almost all White voters,
 then it's worse than it looks. There are about 6 times as many
 whites as blacks in this country. That means 5% of white voters
 balance out 30% of black voters.

 When Jesse Helms ran against Harvey Gant, the polls had Gant
 ahead by 10%. One of the commentators said there are about 10%
 fo the voters who will not vote for a black candidate, but won't
 tell you that. Unprovable, but the final vote came out just that
 way.

 Anyone who says race does not matter is naive, at best. Anyone
 who says race should not matter is wasting time stating the
 obvious.
