I tried earlier today while logged in at dial.SBC.Yahoo.com, and it
couldn't locate the site. Just now it did work, missing my actual
location by 30 miles or so.  I'm in western Seminole County, and the map
that pops up shows eastern Orange County,  only about 10 miles from
Titusville, FL.  Most of Orange County is a local call for me, so I may
have actually been logged in at a site in eastern Orange County.

What I was saying is that location of Fidonet BBS is no
longer a clear indicator of where the writer is located.  DOCSPLACE.ORG
is located in Clearwater, FL, over on the Gulf coast. I use it for
Fidonet from here near Orlando, FL,  and Jean Parrot is currently using
it from near Montreal, QC.

Besides that,  the taglines of Fido-postings these days often don't give
indication of the location of the source BBS.  Check this one - - can
you tell where I'm posting from?
