subject: Bubble Bobble

While discussing the paradoxes involved in using Christians as lightning
conductors on church steeples, Erik Austin said this about Bubble Bobble

 G'day Erik,

EA> You really wanna rip 100 or so screens? I'd settle for the bonus

Doesn't bother me in the slightest mate. Infact, it'd give me something to
do. :-)

MON>> a shot just as an excuse to play with my AR. (And play Bubble Bobble)

EA> Where are you? I might come round and we can have a bit of a game.

Brisbane's not that far from Nimbin mate. You'd be pertnear knackered
by the time you walked here though. ;^)

EA> Bubble Bobble's at it's best with two players. Then we can scream at
EA> each other and fight over the magic power-ups. :)

I'd like to mate. Alas, it will never be while such a void exists between
us. Oh, Father, why must you torture us so! Our souls forever denied unity
scream in anguish and.... Sorry mate. Getting a bit carried away
there. ;-)

EA> Oh and I have to be the green guy. I can't play properly starting on
EA> the right side of the screen.

Dear oh dear. "I wanna be the green guy!" :-) I remember in the arcades 10
or so years ago you could get all weapons before starting the game by using
different combinations of joystick movements and hitting the button before
chucking money into the machine. That made things easier. I never did see
anybody kill the last round baddie without pumping a few dollars into the
machine on the last round.

Catchya,

... "I'm out of laundy detergent," Erik said cheerlessly.
