G'day Christian,
Replying to a message of Christian Paulings to Jeff Green:
>> Georges and Woronora.
CP> I am aware of the location of the Georges river is, but the other one
CP> is an unknown to me. I will get a better atlas (or map)
It's a bit further south.
CP> Unfortunately the Derwent river is getting too polluted now. The fish
CP> just are not there anymore. I do not trust eating oysters that are
CP> farmed in the Derwent when there is 10,000 tons of concentrated zinc
CP> ore sitting under the Tasman bridge. Short term may not be a
CP> problem, but as far as I know, heavy metals accumulate over time
CP> before their poisoning symptoms appear
It that when that boat hit the bridge way back whenever? Yes, I think heavy
metals do work like that.
CP> Would you be happy eating any fish that you knew had been caught in
CP> the Georges river? If the answer is no, I rest my case. :-)
I'd eat them so things aren't that bad.
