A well-designed helmet has proper ventilation. In fact, studies have
shown, in wind tunnel tests, as printed in Bicycling Magazine, that the
head is actually cooler with such a helme than without.
Besides I saw this incident not on a very quiet road but on a bike
trail, probably about the most dangerous place to ride.
