Might be a good compromise between installing a whole new head unit and
the portability between vehicles that have FM radios. You do realize the
compromises involved in dynamic range and noise, but for the noise
levels involved in most cars, it should not be a big deal.
I'm not sure if it is just a small transmitter or if there is a loo
p (like there used to be on some AM style units) but antenna should be
fairly short, and shouldn't need any direct connection.
