I just want to tell you about the trouble I had with Uniden. I bought a UST
4600 recently new. First off the UHF remote function was defective. So I sent
it into the factory for warranty repair in the original foam packing. I then
recieved my repaired unit broken on arival from UPS. I don't think it was all
UPS's fault. I was disapointed with the way the service department had sent
my fixed 4600 to me in a thin flimsy box other than my original packing I had
sent it in. They had slaped one piece of foam rubber on the bottom and a
ayer
of foam on the top, when in route-UPS it had taken quite a beating from side
to side. When trying to notify Uniden via thier toll free service department
number, I tried to get through for two days spending a few hours at it,
finally I decided to call the order line. What do you know, thier order lines
had people to answer the calls, and from there they switched me to the
ervice
department. By the way, they forgot to send me my UHF antenna I had sent with
the unit.
