Hi, I see looking through the thread that this base is devoted mostly to
professional audio discussion (as opposed to pro-audio the sound card,
which is what I thought it was), but then I thought that you guys are
professionals who might be able to give me some adivice on sound
cards...
Here's the thing... I want to buy a sound card, and I'm a amature
musician who's really into computers.  I'm really interested in doinf
computer animations, and I want a REALLY good sound card to create some
music for them.  (hence, unlike the earlier person, I'm a computer
person into music).  I really have my eye on the new AWE technology.
The two cards that interest me the most are the Soundblaster AWE32 and
the 3d PRO from Pro Audio.... I'd like to step up to the $2000 cards
that some pros use (at least according to the ads), but I just don't
have the cash..... does anyone out there have a big preference, and
could you tell me why?  I'd be really appreciative.....
