I'm not sure I quite understand your question, D. Are you
trying to make sure the user doesn't inadvertently insert
spaces before the data by selecting a field with the mouse
at some point after the first character of the field?
I just wrote a little piece to solve that one; I'd like to
know if that's your exact problem so I may ship it over to
you.
