Paul, at 23:19 on May 15 1996, you wrote to All... PE> I bought a motherboard with Cyrix-100 chip on it for $460, and PE> a Tseng Lab ET4000/W32P PCI video card (1 meg) for $109. The video card was cheap, but if the Cyrix is a 486-class chip, why didn't you consider the AMD 5x86/P75-133 (faster than a Pentium 75) at around $240, and that price includes the necessary PCI motherboard as well. $460 is about what I'd expect to pay for a Triton board with a P90 fitted! PE> I expect to be buying the RAM tomorrow. Don't forget the dealer price on 8Mb SIMMs... $99 including tax. :) Regards, Bill --- Msgedsq/2 3.20* Origin: Logan City, SEQ +61 7 3200 8606 MO (3:640/305.9) SEEN-BY: 640/305 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
