Paul, at 22:44 on May 15 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... BL> I admit to being amazed that Goldstar has been diffusing DRAM for BL> the last 5 years... 1991? Amazing! No-one has verified that one way PE> or the other. BG> Goldstar have been making VCRs since at least 1988-89 (sorry Bob). Mind BG> you, the first ones were so bad, that there are very few left in service BG> today. PE> But how long have they been making RAM for? Dunno, but my old 386DX33 used 8x256Kb Goldstar SIMMs, and I bought that back in 1991, 6 months later, I upgraded to 8x1Mb SIMMs, and those were made by Mitsubishi and Panasonic (4 of each). My 4x4Mb SIMMs were also Panasonics, although I have no idea who made my current 2x16Mb 72-pin modules.
