  I have a soft spot for James I. He came down from Scotland, broke,
and suddenly realised that he could sell knighthoods, so he knighted
everyone he met and charged them a thousand pounds. In the end, no one
would go anywhere near him for fear of being knighted!

  He also had a problem with a large tongue and he spat all the time,
like Daffy Duck. What with being knighted for a thousand pounds and
spat at in a thick Scots accent, everyone gave him a clear berth. When
they said "Make way for the King," people bolted for France.

  He was also an Olympic-class fucker, like all Stewart kings, and not
the slightest bit fussy where he put his dick. He fucked anything and
everything.... there was nothing queer about Jamie.

  James was my kinda king! Another couple like him, and we'd have been
a republic *before* Captain Cook arrived.
