The best way I've found to catch mice is to use regular spring traps
placed by the baseboard. Mice have better vision than rats, but they
are more timid. They will run along the periphery of a room instead of
directly across it if given a chance. For bait, use peanut butter and
plain oatmeal. Mice are grain eaters. I don't know what person decided
to use cheese, but it doesn't work. To prepare the bait, place a
dime-sized dab of peanut butter on a piece of wax paper. Pour some
plain oatmeal over it, and work the oatmeal into the peanut butter
until it isn't sticky. Place the ball of bait on the trap. If there's
a mouse in the house, you'll soon be throwing his carcass away! The
bait is not poisonous at all so don't worry about the cat. Using this
method, I caught 11 mice in one night! With mice, you can reuse the
trap over and over, even if it has had blood on it. This is not true
for rats. Rats have a keener sense of smell than of vision. You can
use a trap only once. The best way to get rid of a rat is to use
sticky strips placed along the baseboard where he can run across it.
You can also place some oatmeal on one end as bait if needed. Above
all, don't go out and buy high dollar/high tech gadgets. It's a waste
of time and money. I hope this helps you out.

Stu
