The drive was an 8 bit variation of the IDE drive interface. in New
Zealand, Commodore was left wit a surplus of thise drives when they left the
XT-clone market and was putting them into Amigas too.

any other XT drive should work if you use the apropriate XT drive
controller card with it,

as for VGA cards, there are no 8-bit VGA cards AFAIK.
_but_ all of the 16 bit ones would work in an 8 bit slot, some had a
jumper, but many would autodetect.
