| subject: | Commandline FTP with REXX ? |
Francois Thunus wrote in a message to All: FT> I have seen there is a command line FTP.EXE. Logically it FT> should be possible to program it using rexx, like the rest FT> of os/2, but I haven't figured out how. Anybody has a hint ? Don't use this. If you want to control an FTP session from REXX, use the freeware EWS package designed specifically for this purpose. It is included with Warp Connect, but you have to obtain it on your own if you have regular Warp (non-Connect): RXFTP.ZIP 84K 9-23-93 REXX library FTP over TCP/IP There is actually a family of such tools: RXAPPC.ZIP 30K 10-12-92 REXX library for APPC access RXD.ZIP 147K 2-02-93 REXX PM debugger RXMATH.ZIP 32K 10-19-92 REXX library for trigonometry and other math RXNETB.ZIP 21K 10-23-92 REXX library for NetBIOS access RXSOCK.ZIP 53K 8-05-93 REXX library for TCP/IP access The only difference between the versions is that the shipping versions in Connect come with INF documentation, while the EWS releases come with TXT. Also, only RXFTP and RXSOCK are bundled with Connect. These are all FReq'able (1:323/107) or downloadable (+1 401 944 8498) from me, or by FTP from SOFTWARE.WATSON.IBM.COM. I have some sample REXX code that uses RXFTP to pick up Fidonet echomail bundles if you are interested in seeing it. -- Mike ---* Origin: N1BEE BBS +1 401 944 8498 V.34/V.FC/V.32bis/HST16.8 (1:323/107) SEEN-BY: 50/99 78/0 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 955 SEEN-BY: 712/407 515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 323/107 170/400 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
