Season's Greetings Robert,
RK> Well. this is it took the stick off today :-( How you doin' out there,
RK> managed to get into any mischief ?

What!? Already!? My season just started :^) I took a newish C&C
27 out today for a nice long sail. The weather forcast was calling for
gale force winds so I thought I'd single hand :^) Lots of fun, but I only
did 6 knots (the gale didn't show :^( I got tired of waiting for a
stinkin' bank to give me money for a decent boat, so I decided to charter
instead :^) I joined a charter club that gives me unlimited sailing for a
nominal monthly fee (less than the cost of moorage!!) Not a bad deal, I'd
say :^) As soon as the ""windy season" gets here I'm taking off for a
weekend through the islands - I don't know which ones yet, but there are
lots of them around so I shouldn't have too much trouble finding a couple
RK> Am aroung for a few weeks then the heavy travel starts. Any luck with a
RK> vessel ? I see in this month Canadain Yachting that the Jenneau is
RK> still listed. Has the other deal fallen through. Drop me a note an let
RK> me know how you're doing

Not yet. I was close, but the bank managed to find a last minute
snag (like I switched employers!) so now I'm in search of another bank!
Definitely *very* odd that the Jeanneau is still up for grabs! Sure she
needs work desperately, but it's an overall good sound boat. I guess poor
Tom will end up keeping her for the winter... I may give him a call in the
spring
I started working at Queenship Yachts this week. Not a bad place but
it's a long drive - 50km each way. Fortunately, I don't have to deal with
rush hour. Unfortunately, I start at 6:00 each day! I don't know what's
happening in Toronto, but on Nov 12th on the Knowledge Network, there's a
documentary showing here on BC super yacht builders - I've worked for most
of them! The show's at 21:00 (pst) and I'm trying to find someone
around here with a vcr and cable. I've got a month to do it so I should be
okay :^)
TTYL
Cheers,
