"ld: cannot open -lg: No such file or directory."
Using gcc -g works fine on C source. Strangely, it's the assembly
source that fails to provide symbols for some reason. I can't recall
where it was mentioned or the exact wording, but there is a note in
the docs about assembly symbols and the order they are in.
