You could use system() if your compiler supports it.  Alternatively, you
could use DosExecPgm() directly if you are dealing with OS/2 executables,
or DosStartSession() if you are dealing with non-native programs.  The most
general technique is to use DosExecPgm() to spawn CMD.EXE, which is what
the system() call would do.
