On 12/02/97, as the end of the world slowly approaches,
JOE SIEGLER commented to ALL about "Janeway/Kirk/DaVinci":
JS> In the most recent Voyager episode (the one with DaVinci), Janeway
JS> makes a remark that goes something like "James T. Kirk claimed to
JS> have met him".
JS> Did that really happen, or did the Voyager writers make that up? I
JS> tried to remember if Kirk ever mentioned DaVinci, but I don't think
JS> so; but it's been a couple of years since I watched any Trek
JS> Classic.
That one stuck out to me as well. I couldn't ever remember Kirk mentioning
that he had met DaVinci. Of course, the writers could say that that was from
one of the missions that we never saw.
Or, it could be from one of the novels. Since I haven't read them all, and
stopped a few years ago, it could be in there....
I think it was a ploy to make TOS viewers sit up and say "What?!"
