Forget AC. They haven't changed technology for 30 years. Get yourself
anything but AC or Champions. Check out your plug wires too. If you're
insistant on sticking with that old point distributor, those plugs will need
all the help they can get.
I was a dyed in the wool AC guy until a young wipper-snapper of a mechanic
pointed out some subtle differences between those and Autolites. I tried a
set in my 88 IROC. Work like spark plugs should. He couldn't change my mind
about using Pennzoil, though.
