Is it just me, or isn't there a better place to put the Tampa Bay Devil
Rays than in the AL West?
I see from your origin line that you post from DeSoto, TX. If, like
me, you are a Rangers fan, you had to be happy with that move. KC and
Texas wanted both teams in the AL for a number of reasons. KC doesn't
want to be a part of the AL West for the same reasons the Rangers are
misplaced. Don't you (if you are a Rangers fan) get tired of those
9-9:30 CDT time starts for division games? Especially if there is a
pennant race involved and the games mean so much, like last year? To
me, it will be refreshing to have a few more earlier than usual
starts. And since when has geographical location been the barometer
used when aligning divisions? Football certainly doesn't use it.
Witness the Cowboys playing in the NFC East.
As a traditionalist, I would oppose realignment which would include NL
and AL teams switching leagues, but I would like to see some sort of
realignment that made sense within each of the leagues. So, in that
sense, I agree with you. But as it stands now, I am happy that Tampa
was placed in the West.

... Golly, Yogi, I don't think Mr. Ranger's gonna like this
