The Cyrix is a 686, supposedly comparable in speed to a Pentium 133.
PE> I expect to be buying the RAM tomorrow.
BG> Don't forget the dealer price on 8Mb SIMMs... $99 including tax. :)
I got your message before I bought my RAM, but after I had already
ordered it. So I decided to buy the RAM anyway, even if it was a
complete ripoff compared to that. Although maybe it wasn't. I
wanted 16 meg simms so as to not use up all my banks, and also the
RAM I got was 60ns. Also, it was available locally, and immediately.
However, I was covering my arse already - since I couldn't get it
from my King of Yum Cha mate, I had decided to buy 32 meg only,
and wait until King got his 60ns RAM in (he gets the same price
for 60ns or 70ns, dependant on what his supplier happens to have).
Then I can decide whether to get another 32 meg or not.
BFN. Paul.
