Everyone I know down here who has cleaning people either
holes up in a room or leaves the premises. Rosemary walks
down to town hall, where she's responsible for the
historical society archive; Lilli tries to get as far
away as possible (Spokane, for example); Bonnie has to
move the car anyway so the helpers can use the driveway,
so when I'm around that's when the food shopping and
assorted other errands get done. They all are profoundly
uncomfortable around the cleaning people, and vice versa.
Myself, I'd tolerate their noise and stench and the
occasional wreckage they cause until time came to fire
them, which I'd have done in Bonnie's and Lilli's cases,
not necessarily Rosemary's (though one of them definitely
stole some of her jewelry).

Doesn't matter, she can't tell a food difference, plus
dinner prep is at a time when electricity costs double,
so into the nuker they go. Though for sweet potatoes,
she boils them, an abomination.

Neither Bonnie nor Lilli likes leftovers. Annie didn't
either. Rosemary files them away (as she's in charge of
the historical society archives!) but then never uses
them - sometimes I find months, years old stuff.
