Hi,
EL> The runtime is very portable. Dataflex does run on DOS, OS/2,
EL> Unixes and Windows (3.1, NT, 95). The runtime is written to be
EL> portable.
Have you used PfxPlus (aka PowerFlex) under OS/2? I find it hard to believe
it's the same PC when I compare performance of the OS/2 and DOS flavours.
Anyroad, I presume this is DataFlex v3 (I stopped using it after 2.3b), but
can't you simply:
DIRECT_INPUT "COM1" // might need to be "COM1:"
IF [SEQEOF] ;
ACCEPT W_BARCODE
ELSE ;
READLN W_BARCODE
CLOSE_INPUT
This could be a conditionally-compiled option for your application.
After 5 years of using xFlex products, this is the first Fido thread I've
ever encountered! 8-) Feel free to netmail or email if you need any more
info.
