Rob,
It sounds like you have an old Franklin, which was a clone of the
Apple ][+.  That being the case, the operating system is Applesoft,
and Apple ][+ manuals will tell you all you need to know about the machine.
Also, when you get it running, let me know if it displays color.
The real early ones did, until Apple caught them cloning their
patented design for color, and put a stop to it!
If not, I can sell you a little kit to make it work in color, for
$25.00, if you are good with a soldering iron, or else I
can do it if you ship the machine out to me for $50.00 plus
shipping.
