| subject: | Rhubarb, rhubard, rhubarb |
Hello Gaelyne, VC> Did you ever have one of those drinks here called Two Dogs? VC> It is an alcoholic lemonade made in Sth Aust. GG> Yup. The only drink I really could have gone for big time but GG> resisted temptation. Twas too easy to drink. I like it. :-) Ain't that the truth. VC> Well I saw a story at the weekend that the company that makes Two VC> Dogs is experimenting with an alcoholic rhubarb drink that they VC> are going to call Rhubarb Rhubarb. They are going to release it GG> I'd give it a go. Me too. It had a nice pink colour that looked very inviting. VC> first in UK and then expect to release it on the Aust. market GG> They used the same strategy with Two Dogs, didn't they? GG> Feed it to the Pomms... if they drink it, anyone will. Even GG> Aussies. ;-) I think so. Actually a lot of market testing of products often happens here in S.A. The theory is that if it sells/liked in S.A. with our smaller population base then it will be accepted in the eastern states. I have often bought products that I liked to only find later that I can't get them anymore because they weren't released Aust-wide because they were part of a marketting test. VC> They also said that nearly 700 tonnes of rhubarb are grown VC> commercially in Australia yearly. GG> Just like you said... what would Rod know? Exactly!!
