Never encountered this.  Maybe you should send a bug report. (to the author)

A small DLL... And it doesn't even need to be placed by the user.. having
it in the same directory as the program tends to work fine.

Yeah, 1.0 of Speed isn't good, It was rushed because of everyone pushing
them to get it released right then... So they released it and went back to
improving it..

Besides, I got it for about 160$US less than VP's retail :)
