Hi, Ray.

 RE> Hidee Jim,
RE> What will MM do with this rep??
RE> þ OLX 2.2 þ Pain is a part of life ..... misery is an option.

Well, our test message worked. MultiMail for Linux seems to work just
about the same as this antiquated MM for DOS which I'm using. We
created your docs.REP packet using OLX, and as we saw, MultiMail
reads *.REP packets only in association with opening of a *.QWK packet
which has been received from the BBS. In the example of Docsplace, it
won't read "saved" files with names like "DOC0721.REP",
it just reads a
file named "DOCS.REP". You can add reply msgs to an existing docs.rep
packet, and the BBS will reject duplicate messages.

We finally got things working right for you when we put the QWK packet
and the REP packet in the default locations where MM looks for such - -
as we saw on yours, the MM default locations are in the /mmail/down and
/mmail/up subdirectories, but in the Multimail configuration file, (in
the DOS version, it is a textfile named mmail.rc) you can specify any
path(s) you want. Be sure to enter the full path.

Hey, we need to get you a bit more hands-on experience to help you get
comfy with MultiMail, so please send a short reply when you receive
this.
