1237c4152d50 tech Hello Joe - CA>> Recent news articles tell me that many large corporations CA>> are behind in the billions of dollars never put into their CA>> pension funds JN> There are cities and counties, probably states, JN> underfunding pension funds. Orange County in California had JN> to go the bankruptcy route because of its problems. Which is probably the excuse used in government to not force immediate payment from companies that are behind (nor to fine them as the laws were written). The US government operates more like a corporation each year with the same cold "I am eternal" attitude towards it's citizens. I think if Eisenhower had taken our boys to war with trumped up charges the people would've burned the White House to the ground. JN> Of course the largest retirement plan, social security, is JN> also the biggest and only legalized, ponzi scheme ever JN> foisted on the American public. The original investors are JN> being paid off with the "investments" of current workers. The social security fund was pillaged decades ago (another minor rewrite allowed that to happen back then) and I've seldom read or heard anyone admit to that. The setup is so identical to a tauntine (sp?) that was outlawed years before I was born that I am amazed that they can continue to collect (and increase the percentage) the way the government does this. As I said, politicians seem to take on godlike powers the past decades and consider themselves above the laws. We may as well go back to the feudal system and not worry ourselves about the details any longer. If you think of politicians as dukes, earls, etc. what they say and do makes perfect sense. Any pretense at democracy only confuses everything. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
