            Nah... I can't write that much in one day.  Besides, some
people get annoyed if I'm slow to respond.  How things have changed!  When
I was a child it often took six weeks to send mail to or from Old Blighty. 
A few decades earlier it took six months.  Either way a reply to old news
was not at all uncommon, but one couldn't mention that somebody was ill in
case others might worry.  The pace of life nowadays seems quite insane by
comparison.  There's more freedom to talk about matters of personal
significance, though, when a person can send an update without feeling they
must fill up a page to justify the cost of postage....  :-)
