My "worst" is far more pedestrian: a virus which randomly and occasionally
changed a byte in a file - and did nothing else (except, of course,
replicate).
A "supervirus" would do the above _and_ be "undetectable".
Trashed data on hard disks is an annoyance - but you can always recover from
backups or re-installs. _And_, you know something happened. A virus that
casually changed a value here and there in a .dat file or a .exe could go on
providing misery for a _very_ long time _without_ raising undue suspicion.
