 LOTS!  They can take over the yard if given the chance.

  (chuckle) When I was a kid living at Newtwon, we had a brick yard
and a small garden plot. Dad planted pumpkin seeds and then we went on
holidays. When we came home, a pumpkin had eaten the backyard! There
was vine everywhere! And we never did get pumpkins because you have to
have male and female pumkins to make it work...

  The poor pumpkin just kept growing, looking for a mate.
