subject: Deep Space Nine

I've always wondered why Deep Space Nine has never been picked up for
synidcation. I've asked and written different networks and never got a reply.

Reciently I tried to get it from Blockbuster and found that they have a lot
of problems with suppling titles and where they do have a series are missing
discs from the series. DS9 Season 1 disc 1 was on my queue for two years as
unavailable and I begged and harased them for just as long to get it replaced.

I gave up on them and a friend has been able to get me DS9 from Netflix and
he's got me up to season 2 disc 2 so far. I expect discs 3 and 4 of season 2
next possibly by the end of the week.

After watching the first season, (including the bounus disc), I've got a new
apprecaion for DS9. I think because it ran along side TNG for about two years
it was not taken as seriously as it should have been. And I've found that I
am really enjoing the stories and seeing the characters again. I find that
many of the stories are well done and well acted. When it was in production
it was panned by the masses as not being a real Trek because it did not go
anywhere but I think that this was a poor judgement and led to many not giving
it the attention it deserved.

If you have the chance to watch DS9 again and have not looked at it since it
was first aired, (I don't even remember if it ran fully through a second time
when it was in regular production), I suggest that you check it out again.

You may be pleasently surprised.
